Pop-Up Stands are an industry standard for creating exhibition stand displays. They are such a popular option because they are highly portable, simple to set up and give maximum backdrop coverage. They have been around for many years now and still prove themselves to be the ideal display stand solution for many exhibition shell scheme booths or corporate event backdrops. Popup stands can be supplied in wheeled transport cases which can then be turned into branded counters so you don't even have to store the cases. Popup stands consist of a 'scissor mechanism' framework that simply pulls open to form the curved or straight walling shape you have purchased. The frame is locked on place using the snap locking clips to form a pretty sturdy wireframe display wall. The framework has magnetic bars which are located up the framework's height, where the graphics meet. Printed popup stand graphics are then hung from the top of the popup walling using the graphic hanging bars which have been included on the rear of the graphics, butting together over the top of the magnetic bars which keep them in place. Finally, if purchased, stand lights are fixed to the top of the framework to illuminate the front graphic. End cap popup stand graphics go on each end of the front walls and usually curve back to the rear edge of the framework so the sides of the display wall can be branded as well.

Popup stands are available as curved or straight frameworks and in varying widths, ranging from one block wide to four blocks wide as standard. Frame units can be linked together via a simple linking graphic in order to form a continuous graphic run, ideal to clad one, two or three shell scheme booth walls. Fabric Walling Systems are another method of cladding shells scheme booth walls with your branding, products or messaging. They are usually more expensive than popup systems, take up more transport space and take longer to self install. Various manufacturers use slightly different locking mechanisms, but generally, aluminium profiles lock together to form walling frameworks. These frameworks in themselves are not freestanding, so usually require either stabilising feet or plates to be fitted to the base of the framework, these feet are visible and extend into the floorspace area you ideally want available for your products and stand visitors.

Although feet / plates are not that big, they do extend in front of the walling and also behind so you might loose somewhere between 400 to 500mm of usable floorspace and have a gap behind the walling which is visible if you can see the ends of your display wall. Fabric walling systems can either be light via top of wall 'clip on' style lights or some systems offer illuminated walling options. These have a line of ledge lights around the edge of the inside framework which light to front fabric once fitted. Fitting of fabric graphics us usually straight forward, the best method of fitting is to locate the hemmed silicone edging of the graphic into the channel around the outer edge of the framework. Once the corners are located, return to each lengths centre and feed the graphic into the channel towards each corner until you have finished. Your fabric should bow tight tightly around the walling, turn on the internal lighting and enjoy the eye catching, super bright wall graphic effect.
